One of the lead items in the latest Market Moves Cybersecurity newsletter tackles the idea of moving from reacting to threats to preventing them in the first place. It turns out, Black Kite’s Bob Maley writes for SecurityInfoWatch, that “ransomware groups often target businesses with specific traits, suggesting that taking a more proactive approach to risk management could reduce the likelihood of an attack.”

That’s security news you can use. Also featured in the lineup:

• An overview of the newly implemented Digital Operational Resilience Act that governs European Union financial institutions and the service providers working with them

• A study detailing the massive rise in malware-as-a-service

• Two pieces for C-suite members about budgeting/setting priorities and building effective information security teams

There’s a lot to dig into—and, given the fluid nature of the security sphere, lots more to come. Check it all out right here and, if you’d like to subscribe to future issues, scroll down to the bottom and look for the ‘click here’ link.
