There’s still anxiety in the world of supply chains

By most measures, supply chains around the world are today very calm compared to the chaotic times of the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. And yet, there are things stirring under the calm waters. A massive labor dispute at ports along the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico hasn’t been resolved. Hurricanes Helene and Milton have been mucking up transportation networks across the Southeast. And companies such as Ford and Volvo have been facing old-school problems with some of the companies making parts for them.
